Dock & Walkway Cleaning
Waterfowl fouling is one of the most underappreciated waterfront sanitation concerns on Lake Winnipesaukee. Duck and goose waste accumulates on dock surfaces throughout the season — staining decking, creating slippery conditions, and producing odor as temperatures rise. It’s a routine problem on any residential dock that sits in active waterfowl territory, and it compounds quickly on unattended surfaces. Beyond bird activity, seasonal algae growth, biofilm, and general organic buildup add to what accumulates on a dock over a season.
We clean residential dock decks, dock sections, dock walkways, slip areas, dock hardware surfaces, and boat landing areas. We arrive by water and don’t require land access or equipment staging on your property.
Swim Raft & Platform Cleaning
Anchored swim platforms and float rafts attract waterfowl. Ducks and geese use them as resting and staging areas, particularly overnight and in the early morning before dock traffic picks up. The resulting waterfowl residue combines with algae growth to make platform surfaces slippery and unsanitary — a real concern for a structure designed for swimming. Left unattended across multiple seasons, the surface condition of the raft itself deteriorates.
We service commercially manufactured swim platforms and float rafts at anchor. No hauling. No dragging to shore. We come to the raft, not the other way around — which is the point of a boat-based operation.
Inflatable & Lake Toy Cleaning
Water trampolines, inflatable rafts, floating mats, ladders, and miscellaneous lake toys accumulate surface growth and general grime through the season. Inflatable materials require a surface-appropriate approach — soft-wash chemistry and controlled application rather than direct high-pressure treatment.
Inflatable and lake toy cleaning is most efficient when combined with a dock or raft appointment at the same location. We handle it as part of a standard stop rather than a separate trip in most cases.
Recurring Seasonal Maintenance
The most efficient approach to waterfront maintenance is consistent, scheduled cleaning. Recurring service prevents buildup — including waterfowl residue, algae, and organic accumulation — from reaching the point where heavy treatment is needed. It also extends the useful life of dock decking and raft surfaces.
Primary high season runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day, with service available from ice-out through ice-in when lake conditions, navigation, and scheduling allow. Weekly and biweekly scheduling is available during the primary season. Route clustering with neighboring properties can reduce per-stop costs. Spring opening cleanings, mid-season maintenance visits, and end-of-season appointments are all available.
Surface-Sensitive & Specialty Cleaning
Not every waterfront surface is treated the same way. Composite dock materials, vinyl-coated surfaces, pontoon hulls, and marine-grade coatings require deliberate chemistry selection and technique — not a single default approach applied to everything. The wrong chemistry or too much pressure can cause permanent damage.
If your dock or waterfront equipment has specific surface materials or manufacturer recommendations, mention it when you contact us. We’ll confirm compatibility before scheduling.
How pricing works.
We don’t publish fixed rates for every scenario because waterfront properties vary too much for flat pricing to be meaningful. Here’s the general structure.
Dock Cleaning
~$75 starting point
Standard residential dock, typical condition, good boat access. Larger dock systems, heavily fouled surfaces, and complex layouts are quoted individually.
Rafts & Inflatables
Quoted individually
Raft size, surface condition, and whether combined with other services affect the price. Most raft appointments are combined with a nearby dock stop for efficiency.
Recurring Service
Route dependent
Weekly and biweekly customers benefit from route-efficiency discounts. Neighbors on the same shoreline stretch who schedule together may see reduced per-stop pricing.
When we operate.
Spring opening cleanings are available as soon as ice is out and docks are in. End-of-season appointments can be scheduled through fall. Contact us early for the best availability on either end of the season.
